Mongkok locates in the central art in Kowloon, it has long been playing an important role in the Hong Kong history and cultural development. It has an extremely high population density and been described as one of the busiest districts in the world.


Mongkok has maintained its own unique character, consisting street specialising in an assortment of women’s fashion, souvenirs, accessories. (Tung Choi Street a.k.a. Ladies’ market), a street that is world-known for their specialities in the most desirable sneakers (Fa Yuen Street, a.k.a. Sneakers Street), a street the most desirable sneakers (Fa Yuen Street, a.k.a. Sneakers Street), a street full of retailing and wholesaling of flower and plants (Flower Market Road), a street full of tropical and marine fish, aquariums and accessories, Goldfish Street. and there are many more, Model Street, Tile Street, Kitchenware Supplies Street etc.

Hong Kong Busters in MongKok Busking has become one of the popular street activities in Mongkok Pedestrian Street, yet with the openness of the environment and out of control of the performers volume level, it has aroused many conflicts between the performers and the residents.

T.O.P - "This is Our Place", located at the intersection of Nathan Road and Mongkok Road. It's a commercial property, which comprised a 4 levels of shopping mall and an office building with the 2-storey basement, that directly connecting to the Mongkok MTR station and Mongkok centre.


The target customers of this mall is aimed at teenagers. Al o, it consisted of more than 80 Korean, Japanese and local lifestyle brands, which allow customers to explore different experiences. Also, to encourage visitors to "Space Out", it provides a Space Out Garden on the top floor for chilling out.


Form / Structure

TOP is an encloased and boxed up structure. It does not have any connection to the outside world.


Lighting

It is all sealed up and does not have any natural lighting passing through, mainly rely on artificial lighting.


Ceiling

There are limitation in ceiling of no more than 4800mm in each floor.


Experience

There are multiple escalator lifts access to each floor, so visitors may get confused about the flow of each floor.
